I created a range of free seasonal recipe hand-outs for a food shop somewhere far away, with an emphasis on foreign dishes. After conducting extensive research into content I worked with contacts in a public relations agency together with a renowned French chef working in the same city. My contribution to the design phase of a product brochure included ensuring not only coherence and consistency in layout and content but also ensuring respect of the company's visual identity - though you may find this hard to believe I even proof read the final document picking up those nasty typos . On a smaller scale, I produced 'on-demand' material for the shop including posters, shop notices, gift certificates, etc. |
The company has a dedicated website, but it generated little customer interest or engagement at that time and remains in my view a poor business showcase. As such, I created a social media presence for the business, posting interesting and informative articles on products, together with timely information (special offers, celebrations, events, etc.). Since I left that far away place the page has lain dormant. My last post celebrated International Women's Day. My Excel skills were also called upon. I automated some previously manual accountancy tasks and staff data. In March 2014, as I've previously mentioned I left that far away place (never to look back). The company took over management of their online presence. I learned a lot through my work for the company and this is something no one can take away from me. |
